Ryder's shot was a laser. Laser technology was employed. But I think its too expensive for him to use more than once a month.

Price was good but two of the biggest saves of the night came from Subban.

Start playing Schneider on a regular basis and you might start winning. Can't see his re-signing there now.

His contract isn't even up until after next season. If he splits this season, starts 75% next year and they pay him what he wants he's not going to leave.

Cant argue that and we dont have to worry about not paying guys anymore. He isnt going to get max dollars from anyone but we can pay just as much as anyone else will be able to.

Yes I'm aware of that, but people do hold grudges and he can choose his own destination after next season, probably a nice spot to be in for him….no?

There are some teams in need of goaltending, the Islanders come to mind, that may indeed just pay him what he wants and have a better situation going forward.

Why do you say that ? Have you seen us play? Have you seen how impressive Larsson Gelinas and Merril have played? What if Vanek walks after this poop season they are having? Would he rather play for a team that is going to leave him out to dry for the next how many years or is he going to want a team that plays solid in front of him and helps pad his stats giving him a better chance at things like all star games and Olyimpics. The Islanders are in no better shape going forward then we are. I am also sure we will have just as much money as the islanders to offer Schneider and is Wang really going to spend the money to get him ?

The Islanders would be in much better shape if they had a good owner, gm, and coach, but they will always be held back by those three things as long as Wang and Snow are in charge.

They have lots of nice prospects but but thatès what they are who knows how they will turn out look at Bailey. On their actualy NHL roster the only thing that puts them a head of us is a franchise player like JT other then that I am pretty sure last year was just a bunch of things went right for them not the real team same as Ottawa. Who is to say Reunhart or Pulock even become half the player Larsson and Gelinas already are I know you should safely be able to assume it but thats it. We have guys who are showing great potential at the NHL level.

Place your bets on how long it will take for Clowe to get injured again.

He will be concussed when he sits up from tying his skates. His neck won't be able to handle the whiplash.

He'll get taken out by a hard check from Volchenkov in practice. It will be both the end of Clowe's NHL career & the last decent hit in Volchenkov's career as well as the last decent check he's dished out in the last 2-3 seasons.

EDIT: Two birds, one stone.

Glad to see Schnieder getting the start. He needs more. He's flat out been better than Marty to this point & deserves more starts.

He has as many starts as Ben Scrivens. Time for more of a 60-40 split minimum in favor of Cory.

To be fair, it'd get rid of his contract.

You know when Quick gets back, it doesn't matter how good Scrivens has been, he has priority. He'll probably be dealt like Bernier.

He probably will, I was just throwing someone else out there who has as many starts as Cory. Cory should have more.

And they should move him. His value won't be any higher.
